Norman  Welch, 77, Westover, W.Va., died on Thursday, April 20, 2017, at Mapleshire Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Morgantown, W.Va. Friends and family were received at Hastings Funeral Home, Morgantown, where a service was held on Sunday, April 23, with Pastor Doug Strother officiating.  A graveside committal service took place at the Garrett County Memorial Gardens, Oakland, on Monday, April 24.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 841 Country Club Dr., Morgantown, WV 26505.Online condolences may be made at www.hastingsfuneralhome.com
Phyllis Barbour, 81, Grantsville, died on Thursday, April 20, 2017, at her residence. At Phyllis’ request, her body will be cremated, and no services are planned at this time. Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, is in charge of cremation arrangements. 
Rose I. L. Harsh, 88, Eglon, W.Va., died on Friday, April 21, 2017, at her home surrounded by her family. Friends will be received at the Maple Spring Church of the Brethren, Eglon, on Monday, April 24, from 1 to 8 p.m., and again on Tuesday, April 25, from 10 to 11 a.m., at which time a funeral service will be held, with Rev. Gary Meeks officiating. Interment will follow in the Eglon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Rose Ina’s hospice care provider, West Virginia Caring, P.O. Edward L. Nutter Sr., 87, Oakland, died on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Garrett Regional Medical Center, Oakland. Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Home, Oakland, this Tuesday, April 25, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A service will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, April 26, at 11 a.m., with Russell Sines officiating. Interment will be in Garrett County Memorial Gardens, Oakland. Military honors will be accorded by the various veterans organizations of Southern Garrett County. Osborne C.  Tasker, 72, Harper’s Ferry, W.Va., and formerly of Swanton, died on Friday, April 21, 2017, at his home. A funeral service will be held this Wednesday, April 26, at 1 p.m. in the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, with Pastor Gary Rankin officiating. Interment will follow in the Sharpless Cemetery. Darrell F. “Frank” Stein, 76, Grantsville, died on Sunday, April 23, 2017, at Garrett Regional Medical Center, Oakland. Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service will be conducted in the funeral home this Wednesday, April 26, at 2 p.m., with Pastor Pascal Crites and Brother Jim Hinkle officiating. David C.Riley, 64, Oakland, died on Monday, April 17, 2017, at INOVA Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Va.  According to his wishes, Craig was an organ donor whose kidneys went on to help save the life of another, and his body was cremated. A memorial service, with military honors, will be held on Saturday, May 6, at 1 p.m. in the Bethel United Methodist Church, with Pastor Chris Duckworth and Pastor Regina Beard officiating. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service. Honors will be accorded by the U.S. Marine Corp and the combined honor guard of the American Legion Post #31 and the Deer Park VFW Post #10077. Glenes E.Dumire, 84, Oakland, died at his home on April 23, 2017. Friends will be received at Hinkle Funeral Home, Davis, W.Va., on Thursday, April 27, from 4 to 8 p.m..A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. this Friday, April 28, at Creation for Christ Ministry in Oakland, with Rev.
