The National Weather Service has issued the following alert:

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1215 PM EST
FOR TUCKER...PRESTON AND GARRETT COUNTIES...
AT 1134 AM EST...SEVERE SHOWERS WERE DETECTED ALONG A LINE
EXTENDING FROM 9 MILES EAST OF SOMERSET TO 5 MILES SOUTHEAST OF DEEP
CREEK LAKE STATE PARK TO ELK...AND WERE MOVING EAST AT 55 MPH.
THESE SHOWERS HAVE PRODUCED DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH WITH
TREES DOWN IN PRESTON COUNTY.
* LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
PINEY GROVE... THOMAS... NEW GERMANY...
KEMPTON... HENDRICKS... GRANTSVILLE...
SILVER LAKE... REDHOUSE... BITTINGER...
HAMBLETON... MOUNTAIN LAKE PARK...
DEEP CREEK LAKE STATE PARK...
THE FOLLOWING HIGHWAY WILL BE IMPACTED...
