THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PITTSBURGH HAS ISSUED A WINTER
STORM WARNING FOR SNOW AND FREEZING RAIN...WHICH IS IN EFFECT
FROM 8 PM THIS EVENING TO 8 PM EDT MONDAY.
* ICE ACCUMULATIONS...AROUND ONE QUARTER OF AN INCH.
* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...3 TO 6 INCHES.
* SNOW/ICE BEGINNING... THIS EVENING.
* PERIOD OF MOST INTENSE SNOW/ICE...SNOW TONIGHT. FREEZING RAIN ON
MONDAY MORNING.
* SNOW/ICE ENDING...DURING THE AFTERNOON FOR PRESTON COUNTY...OTHERWISE
AS DARKNESS APPROACHES ON MONDAY EVENING.
* IMPACTS...HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED DUE TO ACCUMULATION
OF A WINTRY MIX OF SNOW...SLEET...AND ICE.
* WIND...SOUTHEAST 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 30 MPH.
