Flood Advisory issued June 18 at 11:46AM EDT until June 18 at 2:45PM EDT by NWS

The National Weather Service has issued the following alert:

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PITTSBURGH HAS ISSUED A
* FLOOD ADVISORY FOR MINOR FLOODING OF POOR DRAINAGE AREAS IN...
PRESTON COUNTY IN NORTHERN WEST VIRGINIA...
TUCKER COUNTY IN NORTHERN WEST VIRGINIA...
GARRETT COUNTY IN WESTERN MARYLAND...
* UNTIL 245 PM EDT
* AT 1143 AM EDT DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES INDICATED AN INCH AND A
HALF TO TWO INCHES OF RAIN HAD FALLEN IN PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST
PRESTON COUNTY. HEAVY DOWNPOURS WILL CONTINUE INTO THE EARLY
AFTERNOON...WITH AN ADDITIONAL ONE TO TWO INCHES OF RAINFALL
POSSIBLE IN THE ADVISORY AREA. THIS WILL LEAD TO FLOODING IN AREAS
OF POOR DRAINAGE ALONG WITH CREEKS AND SMALL STREAMS.

MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. NEVER DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO
AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. FLOOD WATERS ARE USUALLY
DEEPER THAN THEY APPEAR. JUST ONE FOOT OF FLOWING WATER IS POWERFUL
ENOUGH TO SWEEP VEHICLES OFF THE ROAD. WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED
ROADS MAKE THE SMART CHOICE...TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN.
A FLOOD ADVISORY MEANS RIVER OR STREAM FLOWS ARE ELEVATED OR PONDING
OF WATER IN URBAN OR OTHER AREAS IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT.
PLEASE REPORT HIGH WATER BY CALLING...412-262-1988...POSTING TO THE
NWS PITTSBURGH FACEBOOK PAGE...OR USING TWITTER @NWSPITTSBURGH.
