Flood Advisory issued June 18 at 12:24PM EDT until June 18 at 2:45PM EDT by NWS

The National Weather Service has issued the following alert:

...THE FLOOD ADVISORY FOR MINOR FLOODING OF POOR DRAINAGE AREAS
REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 245 PM EDT FOR TUCKER...PRESTON AND GARRETT
COUNTIES...
AT 1221 PM EDT DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES INDICATED AN INCH AND A
HALF TO TWO INCHES OF RAIN HAD FALLEN IN A CORRIDOR BETWEEN
FELLOWSVILLE...TUNNELTON...AND ROWLESBURG IN PRESTON COUNTY. HEAVY
DOWNPOURS WILL CONTINUE INTO THE EARLY AFTERNOON...WITH AN
ADDITIONAL ONE TO TWO INCHES OF RAINFALL POSSIBLE IN THE ADVISORY
AREA. THIS WILL LEAD TO FLOODING IN AREAS OF POOR DRAINAGE ALONG
WITH CREEKS AND SMALL STREAMS.
THIS HEAVY RAIN HAS A HISTORY OF PRODUCING FLOODING IN LOW-LYING
AREAS ON ROUTE 26 AND ROUTE 50 NEAR FELLOWSVILLE.

MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. NEVER DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO
AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. FLOOD WATERS ARE USUALLY
DEEPER THAN THEY APPEAR. JUST ONE FOOT OF FLOWING WATER IS POWERFUL
ENOUGH TO SWEEP VEHICLES OFF THE ROAD. WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED
ROADS MAKE THE SMART CHOICE...TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN.
A FLOOD ADVISORY MEANS RIVER OR STREAM FLOWS ARE ELEVATED OR PONDING
OF WATER IN URBAN OR OTHER AREAS IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT.
PLEASE REPORT HIGH WATER BY CALLING...412-262-1988...POSTING TO THE
NWS PITTSBURGH FACEBOOK PAGE...OR USING TWITTER @NWSPITTSBURGH.
