Flood Advisory issued June 23 at 7:32PM EDT until June 23 at 10:30PM EDT by NWS

The National Weather Service has issued the following alert:

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PITTSBURGH HAS ISSUED A
* FLOOD ADVISORY FOR MINOR FLOODING OF POOR DRAINAGE AREAS IN...
GARRETT COUNTY IN WESTERN MARYLAND...
* UNTIL 1030 PM EDT
* AT 730 PM EDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
VERY HEAVY RAINFALL HAD BEEN FALLING BETWEEN PINEY GROVE AND FINZEL
FOR THE PAST HOUR. THE CORE OF THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL HAS HARDLY
MOVED DURING THIS TIME...AND ADDITIONAL MODERATE TO HEAVY RAINFALL
IS EXPECTED IN THE NEXT HOUR.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE ELEVATED LEVELS ON
SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS...AND PONDING OF WATER ON COUNTRY ROADS AND
FARMLAND ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS.
IN HILLY TERRAIN THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF LOW WATER CROSSINGS WHICH ARE
POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS IN HEAVY RAIN. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TRAVEL ACROSS
FLOODED ROADS. FIND ALTERNATE ROUTES. IT TAKES ONLY A FEW INCHES OF
SWIFTLY FLOWING WATER TO CARRY VEHICLES AWAY.
