The National Weather Service has issued the following alert:

...SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN WILL AFFECT
CENTRAL GARRETT COUNTY...
AT 357 PM EDT...SHOWERS WERE INDICATED ALONG A LINE FROM 2 MILES
SOUTH OF MINERAL SPRING TO 4 MILES SOUTH OF MCCOMAS BEACH...MOVING
NORTH AT 10 MPH. RAINFALL RATES IN THESE SHOWERS ARE VERY
HIGH...THUS A RAPID 1.5 TO 2.5 INCHES OF RAIN IS POSSIBLE AS THESE
CELLS TRAIN OVER THE SAME AREAS.
RAIN AT THIS RATE WILL QUICKLY POND WATER ON ROADS AND FILL LOW
LYING AREAS AND SMALL STREAMS.
LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
MCCOMAS BEACH... MINERAL SPRING... MCHENRY...
DEEP CREEK LAKE STATE PARK... ACCIDENT...
IN HILLY TERRAIN...THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF LOW WATER CROSSINGS WHICH
MAY BE HAZARDOUS IN HEAVY RAIN. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DRIVE ON FLOODED
ROADS. IT TAKES ONLY A FEW INCHES OF FLOWING WATER TO CARRY A VEHICLE
AWAY.
