The National Weather Service has issued the following alert:

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM EDT THIS MORNING...
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PITTSBURGH HAS ISSUED A
* FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF WESTERN MARYLAND AND
NORTHERN WEST VIRGINIA...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AREAS...IN
WESTERN MARYLAND...GARRETT. IN NORTHERN WEST VIRGINIA...
MARION...MONONGALIA...PRESTON...TUCKER AND WETZEL.
* UNTIL 11 AM EDT THIS MORNING
* A LINE OF HEAVY RAIN WITH SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS HAS DEVELOPED
ACROSS SOUTHERN OHIO AND NORTHERN WEST VIRGINIA. AS THIS LINE
MAKES SLOW PROGRESS TO THE NORTHEAST...RAIN WILL CONTINUE OVER
THE LOCATIONS IN THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR SEVERAL HOURS.
RAINFALL OF 2 TO 2.5 INCHES IN LESS THAN 3 HOURS COULD LEAD TO
FLASH FLOODING.

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION
SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
