The National Weather Service has issued the following alert:

...ACCUMULATING SNOWFALL AND HIGH WIND EXPECTED TO CONTINUE FOR
THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS...
.POST-TROPICAL STORM SANDY WILL CONTINUE TO BRING SNOW TO HIGHER
ELEVATIONS.
...BLIZZARD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM EDT WEDNESDAY...
* ACCUMULATIONS...ADDITIONAL 7 TO 14 INCHES.
* WINDS...SOUTHWEST 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 30 MPH.
* VISIBILITIES...LESS THAN ONE-HALF MILE AT TIMES.
* TEMPERATURES...UPPER 20S TO LOWER 30S.
* TIMING...OCCASIONALLY HEAVY SNOW WILL CONTINUE TONIGHT. SNOW
WILL CONTINUE THROUGH AT LEAST WEDNESDAY.
* IMPACTS...EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS. HEAVY WET SNOW
WILL DOWN POWER LINES AND TREE LIMBS. ROADS MAY BECOME
IMPASSABLE.
