THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PITTSBURGH HAS ISSUED A WIND
CHILL WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 1 PM
EST TUESDAY. THE WIND CHILL WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.
* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...2 TO 4 INCHES.
* SNOW BEGINNING...EARLY MORNING HOURS.
* PERIOD OF HEAVIEST SNOW...5 AM TO NOON.
* SNOW ENDING...MONDAY EVENING.
* WINDS...SOUTHWEST TURNING NORTHWEST 10 TO 20 WITH GUSTS UP TO
50 MPH FOR A FEW HOURS WITH THE WIND SHIFT.
* VISIBILITIES...WELL BELOW ONE QUARTER OF A MILE WITH THE COLD
FRONTAL PASSAGE THROUGH THE AREA AROUND 5 TO 7 AM...THIS MAY
RESULT IN NEAR BLIZZARD CONDITIONS. REDUCED VISIBILITIES IN
SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW WILL CONTINUE INTO THE AFTERNOON.
* TEMPERATURES...FALLING TO AROUND 12 BELOW MONDAY NIGHT.
* WIND CHILL...FALLING BELOW 10 BELOW THIS AFTERNOON...AND AS
LOW AS 33 BELOW OVERNIGHT MONDAY NIGHT.
* WINDS...WEST 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 50 MPH.
* IMPACTS...FROST BITE AND HYPOTHERMIA ARE POSSIBLE IF
PRECAUTIONS ARE NOT TAKEN. HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS ARE
EXPECTED DUE TO SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW...FALLING TEMPERATURES
AND STRONG WINDS.
* IMPACTS...DANGEROUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED DUE TO
FALLING TEMPERATURES AND A BRIEF PERIOD OF STRONG WINDS...
HEAVY SNOW AND NEAR ZERO VISIBILITY.
