Flood Advisory issued June 12 at 4:54PM EDT until June 12 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS

The National Weather Service has issued the following alert:

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PITTSBURGH HAS ISSUED A
* FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...
GARRETT COUNTY IN WESTERN MARYLAND...
* UNTIL 800 PM EDT
* AT 453 PM EDT THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN WERE
OBSERVED ACROSS THE AREA. THESE SLOW MOVING AND TRAINING STORMS ARE
CAPABLE OF PRODUCING HALF AN INCH TO 1 INCH AN HOUR.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE ELEVATED LEVELS ON
SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS...AND PONDING OF WATER ON COUNTRY ROADS AND
FARMLAND ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS.
IN HILLY TERRAIN THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF LOW WATER CROSSINGS WHICH ARE
POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS IN HEAVY RAIN. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TRAVEL ACROSS
FLOODED ROADS. FIND ALTERNATE ROUTES. IT TAKES ONLY A FEW INCHES OF
SWIFTLY FLOWING WATER TO CARRY VEHICLES AWAY.
